Answer & Explanation:

Proposal IV(d)(iii) - Call Options of Surf Ltd. Purchased Call Option: Call Option Purchase @ ₹26 on a Strike Price of ₹1,300 for 1,00,000 shares. Purchase Price Per Option = ₹26 Future settled @ ₹1,320 Since settlement price (₹1,320) is above strike price (₹1,300), the option is in the money. Amount received per option = ₹1,320 - ₹1,300 = ₹20 Loss Per Option = ₹26 (premium paid) - ₹20 (amount received) = ₹6 Net Loss on 1,00,000 shares = 1,00,000 x ₹6 = ₹6,00,000 Sold Call Option: 2,00,000 options were sold at the strike price of ₹1,400 @ ₹9. Price settled at ₹1,320, which is less than strike price (₹1,400). The call option expires worthless for the buyer. All the sale value of option will be profit. Profit on 2,00,000 Shares @ ₹9 = ₹18,00,000 Net Profit/Loss Loss on Option Purchase = ₹6,00,000 Profit on Sale of Options = ₹18,00,000 Net Profit = ₹12,00,000
