Answer & Explanation:

'Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCBs)' and 'Depository Receipts (DRs)' According to Issue of Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds and Ordinary Shares (Through Depository Receipt Mechanism) Scheme, 1993, Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCBs) means a bond issued by an Indian company expressed in foreign currency, the principal and interest in respect of which is payable in foreign currency and on maturity it is convertible into equity shares of the Indian issuing company. According to the Depository Receipts Scheme 2014, 'depository receipt' means a foreign currency denominated instrument, whether listed on an international exchange or not, issued by a foreign depository in a permissible jurisdiction on the back of permissible securities (known as underlying securities) issued or transferred to that foreign depository and deposited with a domestic custodian and includes 'global depository receipt' as defined in section 2(44) of the Companies Act, 2013.
