Distinguish between the following: (iv) 'Warehousing' and 'inventory management'.

Answer & Explanation:

'Warehousing' and 'Inventory Management' Warehousing activity is more complex than inventory management. It is a more focused and detailed system for the operations in a business's warehouses. Warehouse management divides warehouses into many compartments and bins. Inventory management is the overseeing and controlling of the ordering, storage and use of components that a company will use in the production of the items it will sell as well as the overseeing and controlling of quantities of finished products for sale. As compared to warehousing, inventory management takes a broader approach to tracking inventory by location and being more product-detail oriented.
