Explain various steps involved in programming process.
Answer & Explanation:
Programming Process consists of following steps: Analysing the problem Designing the solution Coding the solution Testing the solution Documenting the solution Problem Analysis: This is where the clear statement of the problem is stated. The programmer must understand the problem, what the program should do, the nature of the output and input, and the ways of solving the problem. Design: The planning of the solution takes place in this stage, involving finding a logical sequence of precise steps (an algorithm) that solve the problem. Popular methods include flowcharts, pseudo code, and top-down charts. Planning may also involve testing the algorithm logic with representative data. Coding: Coding is the act of translating the design (algorithm) into an actual program, written in a specific programming language. The programmer uses the devised algorithm and the chosen programming language. Testing and Debugging: This process involves locating and removing errors. Testing checks if the program works as expected based on predetermined scenarios, while debugging corrects any errors (bugs) found. Documentation: This is the final stage, involving organizing all material that describes the program. Documentation allows others (or the programmer later) to understand the program, including internal remarks, detailed descriptions, flowcharts, and pseudo code. Although listed last, documentation should ideally occur as the program is being coded.
