Jeetu was working in a unit of the establishment which was engaged in the procurement of ghee from various suppliers, sampling it chemically, analysing and packing in tins for transportation to the head office of the establishment for sale in the market. Jeetu contended that he is working in a factory and engaged in the 'manufacturing process' and hence should not be discriminated against other workers. Is Jeetu engaged in a 'manufacturing process'? Is he entitled to all the protections under the Factories Act, 1948?
