What is the difference between 'Valuation date' and 'date of the Valuation Report'?
Answer & Explanation:
As per International Valuation Standards, the valuation date must be stated. If the valuation date is different from the date on which the valuation report is issued or the date on which investigations are to be undertaken or completed then where appropriate, these dates should be clearly distinguished. Valuation date means 'the date' or period for which financials or information is considered. The date of Valuation Report is the date on which the report is signed. Valuation date must precede the date of Valuation Report and vice versa should not be done.
