Section 27 of the Registration Act, 1908 (the Act) provides that a will may be presented for registration at any time or deposited in a manner provided in Sections 40 and 41. Registration of a will is optional under Section 18(e). Therefore, in this case registration of will is optional and Anil can get it registered any time. Hence, Anil can present his documents for registration on 25th July, 2023.
